INCREDIBLE WOMAN #5 - KIM WALUS

Wow! That's a tough one. But I'm going to make a stab at it. Just so you know I'm not the expert but I do have some experience. LOL! This is the advice that I give myself!

* Remember to Be as HAPPY as you can BE! Being positive is important in dealing with life's circumstances and challenges.
* Remember to see the HUMOR in things. Laughing is really good for you and helps keep things in perspective. My husband is really good at this.
* Remember it's okay to say NO sometimes and that doesn't make you a bad person. It's taken me a long time to figure that one out in my life.
* Remember you're just one person and you need to also take care of that one person so you can keep being a wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, grammi, friend, co-worker etc. Women wear lots of different hats and often it's at the same time.
* Remember to LOVE yourself for who YOU ARE and not for who everyone else wants you to be. Especially the world. WE are each UNIQUELY Beautiful!!!
* Remember that you have VALUE. You are YOU and that is a GIFT from God. That's a very important thing to remember!!! Sometimes I forget that idea and have to remind myself that God loves me!
* Remember that YOU can make a DIFFERENCE. Get out there and serve. Do what you can even if it's just a little something. Remember that a little something is more than a big nothing and that can make a difference.
* Remember to say OH WELL! Do what you can and do your best and then be okay with it. We can't FIX everything all the time!!!
* It's okay to Cry just not too long or your eyes will be puffy. Mine are ridiculously puffy and I'm not kidding.
* Remember to be FLEXIBLE. Those that are flexible never get BENT out of SHAPE!
* Remember to FORGIVE and try to see the GOOD in others. This can be a blessing in your life.
* Remember to GIVE THANKS to God, your husband, your children, your in-laws, your friends, your neighbors.

Incredible Woman #4 - Jyl Pattee

I try and live by a few values in whatever situation I'm in... not that I always succeed :).

* Be abundant. Opportunities are endless—for you and for others—so why not have an attitude of helping others, promoting them, validating them, even if they are in the exact same industry that you're in. I think everyone goes further when we help and uplift each other than when we make a point of competing with each other.
* Include others. One of the hardest things can be leaving your own comfort zone. It's fun to hang with people that know you or invite the same group of girls out all the time. But, including others not only allows that person to feel included, but gives you the awesome opportunity of getting to know and learn from new and amazing people.
* Be resilient. No matter what life throws at you, you have the opportunity to choose how you will respond to that situation and better yet, what you can learn from it to help you be a better person and give back to others. I look at people I admire and typically, they have all been through something difficult—really difficult. But, its how they handled their trial that made them influential, examples to others, and go on to do great things.
* Walk in others' shoes. I think trying to take a second and imagine how someone else feels or what they may be going through goes a long way in helping you form strong relationships, gain understanding, have a forgiving heart, and find the beauty in differences as well as similarities.
